research interests

Driven by personal experience with atopic dermatitis, I am pursuing questions at the intersection of dermatology, immunology, and microbiome science. My central research question — why some cells regenerate while others do not — extends into the mechanisms of skin barrier dysfunction, individual variability in therapeutic response, and the role of the gut–skin microbiome axis during flare-ups. I am broadly interested in cell biology, immunology, and translational research on skin diseases.

leadership & teaching

• 2025– Founder & Leader — Biology Club, KAU School
  Designed and leads weekly sessions for students in grades 7–9, breaking down challenging biology topics into clear, engaging instruction. Prepares peers for exams through active learning rather than rote memorization, developing strong skills in science communication and mentorship.

• 150+ hrs Volunteer — "Dom Mamy" (Mother's Home), Christ the Savior Church, Almaty
  Supports a crisis-intervention project dedicated to keeping children together with their mothers. Organizes events, prepares meals, and provides childcare for families in need.
